“知本森林奇幻寶典”營隊活動（下）

7月12日（星期二）
第二天早上吃了早餐後，就開始活動啦！我們三位參與的第一項活動是森林趴趴GO，這個活動環節包括收集之前每組小朋友所放置的陷阱和繪製森林的景象然後體驗穿越森林。我個人還蠻喜歡穿越森林的體驗這項活動的，因為覺得這活動很有意義。各組小朋友必須畫一張心目中森林的模樣，畫好後小朋友必須把畫翻過來在邊緣畫上九個區域及在紙中間割開一個小洞。之後比賽就開始了，怎麼比呢？每組小朋友必須輪流穿過紙中間的那個洞，每當一位小朋友穿過之後都必須把之前所分出來的區域撕掉。比賽結束後，小朋友又必須把所撕出來的區域拼回去。至於比賽的速度其實是不重要的啦！

這個活動的意義在於提醒小朋友，每當人類穿越森林都會對森林造成破壞，就如那幅畫中間的洞會破得越來越大，以及有人類對森林的開發，也就是那些被撕出來的區域。還有每當人類破壞了大自然，就很難再把大自然修復回原來的樣子了，就像小朋友把圖畫拼回還是看得到那些被撕過的痕跡。就這麼簡單的小遊戲，裡面就隱藏了大大的價值。小朋友也因此可以知道到森林的重要性。

像我之前所說的，我來到這裡才發現台灣的環境教育都做得很好。在大馬，小朋友都很少接觸到這些，只有在教科書上大略地帶過。放學後，小朋友依舊把塑料袋到處亂丟，有的甚至從公車裡丟了出來。在馬來西亞森林資源很多，可是都是在濫用，環保的字眼也只是聽到兩個月就無聲無息了。所以，台灣林務局所做的是值得佩服的。

誰說一隻手掌拍不響？只要有一邊手就可以拿起很多不同東西來敲打，發出不同的聲音。人也是一樣，一個人就足以用不同的方式去改變這個世界，這也就是AIESEC鼓勵大學生到國外實習的原因。所以在這裡所學到的，我都會帶回國去分享，希望小小的我可以作出一些貢獻、一些改變。

“知本森林奇幻寶典”營隊活動（上）

7月11日（星期一）
“知本森林奇幻寶典”暑假營是知本自然教育中心所提供給小朋友在假期裡學習以及體驗森林的一個活動。這次的“知本森林奇幻寶典”暑假營，課長安排了我們三位從國外來的“大朋友”一起參加。

早在一個星期前，我和詩慧已經有大略看過這個營隊的進行了。可是那時侯蒨還沒抵達台東，所以對她來說這個營隊在她的腦海裡只有一個字可以形容，那就是“what?”。

活動的前一天，課長把我們三位特別嘉賓約到麥當勞，和營隊的小志工們一起開會。其實也只是在聽講解啦。之後我們被分到三個不同的隊伍去協助小隊長。其實小隊長都已經很厲害了，我們三個沒有被接受過訓練的只會越幫越亂吧。所以我們的工作非常輕鬆，就只是幫忙拍拍照和陪陪小朋友聊天咯。

可是活動當天一大早，從台東市到知本的路程就可以遙望到山上都是在下着雨的，天氣不是很理想。到了遊樂區，我們三位“大朋友”就躲到辦公室裡去等待小朋友的到來。不久，當小朋友到齊後，營隊就正式開始啦～！這一次所參的小朋友超頑皮的，有些甚至一踏進教育中心裡那舒適的千根榕教室，就直接躺在地上睡了。不只是一位小朋友這樣做，而且各自都有自己獨特的姿勢，有的還在地上旋轉。我們三位看了都傻眼，可是我心裡還蠻想加入的啦。看到他們的天真無邪，才發現自己都已經老了。

小朋友在小隊裡自我介紹過後，就輪到我們仨上場了。簡單的自我介紹後，我覺得小朋友其實都不知道馬來西亞在哪裡啦！在他們的腦裡馬來西亞人應該是長得黑黑的，而且住在森林裡的吧。我也沒怪他們啦，因為現在的小朋友都不聽光良和梁靜茹了。還有兩位小朋友見我是外國來的，跑來問我馬來話的髒話怎麼說。才發現原來現代連小朋友學習外語也會先學髒話。果然是不錯的開始，哈哈哈～開玩笑！我當然沒有污染他們那天真的心靈啦～只教他們日常會用到的馬來語。

第一項活動是畫隊旗，小朋友都依據各隊的組名，發揮想像力一起把隊旗畫了出來。小朋友的作品還蠻不錯的。午餐後，接下來的活動是定向活動。聽過志工簡單的講解後，小朋友就拿著定向卡紛紛開始尋找定向位置去了。至於我們三位“大朋友”都沒體驗過這活動，所以也分到了一張定向卡。我這個過動兒手上一接到定向卡就迫不及待地想把它完成。冷靜的侯蒨和詩慧看我那麼衝動想去玩，結果就讓我一個人去了，我在想她們倆也應該是懶惰走吧。我在十八分鐘就把全部位置找了出來，搞得小朋友都很討厭我。哈哈哈～

第一天的活動大概都是讓小朋友在千根榕教室裡聽講解，然後才到外面去親自體驗。而且這幾天的天氣也沒那麼好，很多戶外活動在下午五點過後都沒辦法進行了，就連最重要的搭帳篷也被取消了。直到晚上，小朋友吃完晚餐後就開始出發到園區裡去夜間觀察。當晚的夜間觀察收穫也還蠻好的，看到了不少夜裡出現的小動物，例如：赤尾青竹絲、大頭蛇，還有日本樹蛙等等。

之後我們三人就回到山莊去休息了，這樣就結束了我們第一天的營隊體驗啦！我們有得睡山莊已經算很好了，當晚其他志工還要陪小朋友在自然教育中心睡。志工們，幸苦你們啦！！

踏進知本森林遊樂區 The First Step into Jhihben National Forest Recreation Area

開始踏入知本國家森林遊樂區會經過一座紅色的大橋，橋旁兩方可以看到淡灰色的知本溪。往左邊抬頭望，可以看到不遠處的時雨瀑布。為何叫做時雨瀑布呢？郭英姐告訴我們這座瀑布只有在山上下過雨後才會出現。在橋上可以看到遊樂區周圍壯觀的景色。之前在網上看到的圖片還以為知本森林遊樂區只是一個小型的遊樂區，怎麼會有那麼大的反差呀？哈哈哈～

知本國家森林遊樂區提供了各種不同的設施，主要的是遊客服務中心。遊客服務中心專為遊客提供關於知本森林以及遊樂區的資訊。多媒體室會在設定的時間播放關於知本森林的影片，讓遊客在還沒開始探索知本森林之前簡單的了解森林遊樂區的特色。此外，遊客中心樓上的展示室也展示了不少在知本森林所可以看到的特有動植物種類。

遊樂區裡也專設了具有大自然的特色、以千根榕為設計主題的知本自然教育中心。知本自然教育中心的建立，目的是通過不同的活動如暑假營，向大眾傳授自然保護知識。通過一些有趣的小遊戲，小朋友在生態保育的學習上顯得更有興趣。在馬來西亞，自然環境的保護只會在小學教科書上大略說明，並沒有一個專設的教育中心向小學生傳達這些珍貴的知識。因此，資訊沒辦法有效的傳達給民眾，使生態保護意識在馬來西亞變得越來越差。知本自然教育中心是其中一個令我們感到佩服的一個遊樂區設施。

另外，遠道而來參觀遊樂區的遊客大部分都是為了體驗遊樂區裡不同種類的步道。在整個遊樂區里共有四條主要步道，而且各有各的特色。

在前面的兩個星期裡，遊樂區的工作人員和其他志工都一直再問我們全部步道都走過了沒有，所以我們不把它走完都感到不好意思呀。就在課長、郭音姐和凱琳姐等不同時間的帶領下，我們在每一條步道都留下了腳印。我最喜欢的步道是森林浴步道，因为我原本就热爱大自然，运气好的话还可以在那里看到一些野生动物。心想走完每一條步道是有點開心和成就感的，但回到辦公室看看日曆才發現這一切只是開始呀！可是在步道上，我們學了不少以往在課室裡學不到和看不到的，是一個不錯的體驗。

The journey into Jhihben National Forest Recreation Area starts from crossing a red bridge before enters the main entrance. On the bridge, I saw grayish colored Jhihben River flowing rapidly under the bridge. On the left hand side, there was a waterfall on the mountain distance away from the recreation area. The scenery on the bridge was brilliant especially after rainfalls. This is because workers who woks here told me that the waterfall only appears if there are rainfalls on the mountain..

Jhihben National Forest Recreation Area provides various facilities. The main building where visitors can acquire information about this area is Visitor’s Center. In Visitor’s Center, there was a multimedia room which will play a short introduction clip about the recreation area 4 times a day. Besides that, tourist can know more about the species and attributes of plants and animals which can be seen in this area by visiting the exhibition room on the upper floor of the Visitor’s Center

Jhihben National Forest Recreation Area also provides a learning environment on forestry for elementary school students through summer camp. This camp was organized by trained volunteer and some high school students.

There are four main trails in this area:

In the first 2 weeks, we finished all the trails with the guide of Mr.Huang and other employees of the recreation section. The trail which I liked the most is Forest Trail because it is the place where I can see many wild animals. Although we feels very tired after hiking such a long distance in the area, but we learned many precious knowledge about the forest recreation area that we seldom have the chance to experience in daily life.

專案目的及事項 Visions & Missions in Jhihben FRA

我們這次參與這個專案主要的目的有四項：
i. 體驗台灣的生態旅遊、文化及自然保育等的交流機會。
ii. 透過協助擔任知本森林遊樂區志工，認識台東及知本國家森林遊樂區。
iii. 了解台灣在地文化特色，以及協助行銷林務局森林遊樂區的國際能見度。
iv. 提升知本國家森林遊樂區雙語化旅遊服務環境，並提升生態旅遊及森林保育工作之國際
眼界。


在知本森林遊樂區的事項包括：
i. 製作《探索知本》旅行紀錄片及媒體旅程的規劃。
ii. 完成《2011國際志工在台灣●台東知本》部落格的建設、策劃與執行。
iii. 協助知本國家森林遊樂區娛樂設施英語環境的檢視。
iv. 協助步道巡護與雙語解說牌誌的檢視。
v. 協助知本國家森林遊樂區策略聯盟“與森林做朋友-生態體驗活動”的辦理與活動記
錄。
vi. 協助知本自然教育中心“知本森林奇幻寶典”暑期營隊活動的辦理與影像記錄。
vii. 其他未確定事項。


我們三人必須聯手合作完成專案的內容，同時體驗台東的風土人情。除此之外，還可以了解台東林區管理處育樂課的工作和運作方式。最後，我們各自當然也會在這個專案學到不少隱藏的意義，把它們帶進自己的生活旅程…把它帶回國與更多人分享這珍貴的體驗。我们在台东的任务开始咯～！！！


Vision
1. To encourage international youth to involve in eco-tourism,
cultural and conservation of environment.
2. To have deeper understanding towards ZhihBen Forest Recreation
Area regarding ecology, cultural and human resource.
3. To encourage interaction between international youth and local
community in order to understand local culture and promote forest
recreation area of Taiwan.
4. To create a bilingual environment in ZhihBen Forest Recreation
Area.

Mission
1. To complete an “Explore in Zhihben” video and records of
travelling.
2. To set up, design and carry out a blog of [International Youth in
Taiwan 2011, Zhihben Taitung].
3. To assist and suggest the bilingual environment in ZhihBen Forest
Recreation Area.
4. To assist in trails conservation and examine the language of sign
boards.
5. To assist in managing and record the strategy alliance of Jhihben
FRA with title " Be friends with forest - Ecology experience
activities".
6. To assist in managing and record the process of summer camp.
7. Others.

So, three of us will complete all the assignments together within 2 months. Meanwhile, we can experience the diverse culture and environment in Taitung. Besides that, we can also learn about the working and management environment of Taitung . Last of all, we will share what we learnt and experienced in Taitung and Jhihben Forest Recreation Area to our people. Let’s start our journey!

国际志工简介。[Tadaa~Brief introduction about 3 international volunteers]

嗨，我是侯倩。 目前我在加拿大蒙特里爾就讀Mcgrill大學。我是在台中人，在九歲時和家人移民到加拿大溫哥華。我在台灣完成國小一二年級，之後到加拿大繼續升學。如今我在大學主修會計但還在猶豫要副修國際貿易還是金融。選擇在台灣知本度過我的暑假有好幾個原因： 第一，我想更瞭解出生地的文化。自小就移民去加拿大的我，沒有機會好好的瞭解及觸碰台灣的文化。第二，身為商科學生，我喜歡觀察各個國家的貿易方式，這樣能讓我的國際視野更開闊。除此之外，探訪當地原住民能讓我更瞭解台灣的文化。最後，中文不好的我也想在台灣與當地的居民好好的練習中文！


大家好～！我名叫鄭毅惺，是來自馬來西亞的。我居住在大馬北部的吉打州，家就在檳城的邊界附近。目前在馬來西亞北方大學就讀國際企業管理。我熱愛大自然，在家鄉都會時常去進行一些戶外活動。所以我對野生動植物還算有一些知識，只是一些啦…哈哈！去年在大學發現了AIESEC這個組織專為大學生提供到國外實習的活動，覺得很感興趣。因為資金有限，結果最後選擇到台灣實習而且還選擇了這個專案。抵達台灣之前，就已經有想像到這裡的工作環境了。所以來到了感覺都還ok，也沒有後悔選擇了這個專案。好期待日後在台東知本國家公園遊樂區的活動。我希望可以通過這個專案學到不少大自然的知識。雖然這些知識表面上看起來與我目前讀的科系沒什麼關連。但是在世界逐漸遺忘大自然的重要性時，在地面上生存的我們，不管是誰，不管就讀什麼科系，都有責任讓這個自然生態環境繼續維持下去。好讓下一代不只是在教科書上才可以看到那些動植物的圖片，而是像我們現在一樣有機會輕自體驗大自然。


哈囖，大家好！我是詩慧，綽號LALA! 我是來自馬來西亞的國際志工。很高興有機會能為台東知本森林遊樂區服務，以及能來台灣見識一下台灣的人文風情。也感謝東吳大學和台東林務局，聯辦這個特別的專案，讓我們有機會參與這裡的一切。選擇參與這個專案的原因是因為熱愛大自然的我想要趁這個機會回歸大自然及享受大自然的所有。也或許因為當我完成這個專案的同時，我就即將踏入社會工作了，所以我要盡我所能的好好充電及自我充實！綠色能量，我來咯!就這樣，接下來的兩個月里我會和另外兩個同伴一起介紹知本森林遊樂區及台東的旅遊景點，請大家拭目以待！


My name is Katherina and I am currently a university student studying at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. I was originally born in Taichung, Taiwan, and immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, when I was 9 years old. I attended elementary grade 1 and 2 in Taiwan before moving to Canada where I completed the rest of my elementary and secondary education. Right now, I am majoring in Accounting with an undecided minor in either International Business or Finance. I decided to spend my summer at Jhihben for a couple of reasons. First of all, I wanted to learn more about the culture of my birth country. Since I moved to Canada at such an early age, I never really had the maturity and opportunity to learn to appreciate the culture of Taiwan. As a student interested in understanding business on an international aspect, I would like to take the time this summer to not only learn more about the current culture of Taiwan but to also learn about the different aboriginal cultures in Taitung. Additionally, this would be a great opportunity to first handily observe the logistics and the cultural differences of how a business is ran in a different country. Last of all, especially with the large exponential growth of business in China and Asia in the last few years, I would like to improve my Chinese. Since moving to Canada, the only time I needed and have used Chinese was with my parents and in high school when I chose Chinese as my language elective. By coming to Jhiben, I would have more initiative to improve my Chinese when I interact with everyone here.

Hi~ my name is Yee Sing. I come from Malaysia. My hometown is at Kedah state, near the border of Penang state. I’m studying International Business Management at Northern University of Malaysia. I like natural environment and outdoor activities. That’s why I have some knowledge on wild animals and plants, yup~ just a little bit… Haha! Last year I found that AIESEC offers an opportunity for universities students to go for exchange in other countries. I was interested in the exchange program. Because I’m facing some financial problem, so I choose Taiwan to go for exchange. When I saw the job description of this internship program, I can imagine the situation while working at Jhihben National Forest Recreation Area. So, everything is fine for me when I reach here and I did not feel regret for choosing this project. I’m looking forward on the coming event of this internship. Even though there is no direct connection between my fields of study with this internship, but I think that everyone who living on the earth have the responsibilities to take care of the natural environment, no matter who we are and what courses we are taking. Besides that, we must also ensure that the next generations have the opportunity to reach out their hand and experience the real wildlife.

Currently, I’m a fresh graduate from National University of Malaysia and will look for any jobs related to Food Science and Nutrition after this project ends.
